What will happen when Bollywood’s two dancing sensations
come together? Recipe for a hit film?
Well, that’s exactly what’s cooking between Katrina Kaif
and Varun Dhawan. The two actors are collaborating for India’s biggest dance
film which will be helmed by Bollywood’s renowned choreographer turned
director, Remo D’Souza and produced by T-series.
While the film will tentatively go on floors by 2018 end,
it is expected to release on November 8, 2019. The title of the film is
not decided yet. Remo, who has given two hits- ABCD and ABCD 2, will be
directing Varun for the 2nd time and Katrina for the first time.
Varun confirmed the news
to a section of media and said, “It’s a huge achievement to work with Remo on
what’s going to be India’s biggest dance film. I performed once in New York
with Katrina and it was electric. She’s going to bring her ‘A’ game, so I need
to get back in shape as well. Bhushan is not only a strong producer but also
contributes creatively, especially in the music department.”
Katrina also expressed her
happiness and added, “I am excited to be joining Remo’s vision. Varun’s passion
is wonderful; he works tirelessly to create magic on screen. And, Bhushan
Kumar, with his understanding of market dynamics as a producer, will ensure
this turns out to be the most talked-about film of 2019. I can’t wait to start
this journey.”
Talking about the project, Remo D’Souza said, “Isn’t it just appropriate that a
film about music and dance is produced by the man heading the biggest music
company in Bollywood? And I get to direct — Varun, one of the best dancers
today, and Katrina, who has shown us she can shake a mean leg.”
Meanwhile, apart from Varun and Katrina, the film will
also star actor-choreographer-director Prabhu Deva besides
Dharmesh Yelande, Raghav Juyal and Punit Pathak who have remained an integral
part of the cast of ABCD franchise too.
Well, we can’t wait to see Varun and Katrina sizzle
onscreen.
